One category of people that are often not so consider in cinema are young producer. I have had the pleasure of meet via Facebook  Guillermo Jorge Pachecoa young American producer with Chilean origin that have done several good work and he will be soon well know for his skills and professionality . he has been so good to present himself in an interview for our magazine

Could you present yourself to a Swedish public?,

I'd love to give present myself to the good people of Sweden. I've work for 4 feature films so far. 3 of my films have been Drama and 1 dark Comedy.

What is for you the main task for the productionand what kind of film do you produce and mostly How difficult it is it with that?

I've been fortunate enough that in my young career I've work in films that have a powerful message I believe in. Movies that are more story driven and with outstanding performances. To produce a film one was to make sure to make it happen. Just like a chef who wants to make a unique dish. We need all the ingredients that we can get our hands on and be sure that we are trying to expose the idea that we want to show. I believe a producer must be a partner for the director. Has to be the person that gives the artist all the security and reassurance. Making a movie is difficult for every department so a producer must have a common knowledge for everyone and show composure. Generate a bond of trust and make sure to communicate. There will always be something that we can miss but be sure that with a good relationship with our team you can give them the second best team. It's a 24/7 job, your energy helps the ambiance. I keep positive and determine. You must be the captain of the ship and to lead as example. What really helps is to be organized and know where to prioritize goals for each day. I believe that an excellent pre-production is key and you'll really thank your past self. Production is a job to help others succeed. That way you succeed, you become reliable. Everyday is a battle and you really need to trust others to build the dream (so hopefully you'll have team players) but the pay off is worth it.

Can you tell some anecdote?

Creating a film from nothing and seeing it on the big screen is by far one of the most amazing feelings you'll ever have. My third film: "A Little White Lie" was our final at the University. It was a teaser at first but the idea came 2 years after that when the director pitched the idea and wasn't picked by the teacher. What I heard was what exactly the kind of comedy that in Santiago of Chile didn't have. Their wasn't prescient of a comedy for the rural part of the country. I saw a golden dream and told Tomas (the director) that his idea had to be made. It took 4 friends of the University to make it happen. We when to the directors small town. Talked to the people and our idea and everyone was excited. We where offered so many things that with out the support of the people from San Carlos we couldn't have made it. That faith translate through the media and Pablo (Executive producer) started a Kickstarter in which we were able to obtain the last things we needed. One has to go out there and knock on doors, you never know the kind of help you can be presented.

do you have one favourite movie?

My favourite movie at the time is Big Fish, from Tim Burton. It's a film that is really close to me and the relationship I had with my father, whom past away. It's those kinds of film that I love to aspire to create. Stories of people that inspired with a pinch of magic for this world.

Do you admire some Swedish movie ?

I'm a huge follower of Ingmar Bergman. I think that anyone who sees films will eventually find themselves to Bergman. I love Winter Light, which on my recent film we took a lot of inspiration from, and Persona, a true master piece.
